The Crisis of Adolescence

I think of this time in a person's life as a necessary crisis. The conflicts and moodiness are all part of the formation of the self. The child is in the turmoil of becoming an adult.A foot in each realm and faced with a myriad of influences as to which way to go. How to determine if the issues that concern you are something other than what's "normal" is the point of this part of my site. As the child becomes an adult the consequences of the choices become so much more serious. Having said that I help teenagers find the learning in their mistakes. The issues that bring them and the family in for treatment are some of the most important building blocks for their transition to the next part of their life.
